Most blogs suck, that’s not an assumption but the harsh truth. As you wonder thru this lonely universe you might even think that of my blog, I know that’s impossible, so when a good blog pops up I think it’s an occasion worth rejoicing about. The story goes as follows. A few days ago while attending my night classes at the local University, my teacher blabbered on about something or another which I wasn’t really paying attention to. Comfortably seated in the front row, I navigated a rather unique site called Digg and was drawn to a story about something which I do not recall. The blog in question is called destructoid and by gums is it good. It seems that the chaps over at destructoid have mastered the art writing very amusing articles in good old proper English. These have made my nights at the local University a whole lot more “doable” and here are two of my favorite articles, this one and the other one. Destructoid is a very good blog that deserves a crystal-clear thumbs up.
The WordPress chaps are really taking this creating a blog CMS thing rather seriously. Proof of this is that in the last two months I’ve had to upgrade my blog three times which is great but it does get rather exhausting. It would be nice if some other software companies that develop an operating system would follow the example.
Like the very wise and commonly used saying goes “times are changing”. This is very true for many reasons, which I can not explain you might try looking at Wikipedia for an explanation, and from yesterday onwards so has this blog. You might have noticed that some things have change and for this reason I humbly invite you to experience the new theme combined by the glamorous truly unique color scheme created by yours truly. If the experience is to overwhelming please take a break to relax and maybe play a few games, watch TV or take the dog for a walk. Now, let me draw your attention to the all new… Hmmm… I guess that’s about it….

This is so funny words can’t possibly describe it. Check this site out and listen to the audio….

Today I decided to change a few things on my blog. I started by changing the header image by adding something a bit more lively. Other improvements include a background color change and a Template update. For now that’s about it, I hope everyone enjoys the new look.

How Tetris changed the world
Posted on 2007 under Gaming, General Stuff, SEO, Videos | 5 CommentsWhen we think about the game Tetris many images flood our minds but one thing that many of us might not know is that this game literally changed the video gaming industry. I saw this documentary on Google videos and was amazed to learn that this simple game has such a rich and amazing History. From conspiracy to betrayal at the highest order, the history of Tetris has it all and is as exiting as the actual game. The documentary Tetris – From Russia With Love, a BBC production, is simply remarkable and should be seen by every game fan.

It seems that Google as officially made a moved to the in-game advertising market. Representing one of the few niches still left untouched by the search giant, in-game advertising might just be brought to the spot light after this latest acquisition. According to a Red Herring reports, Google has acquired Adscape Media for $23 million. Both companies have been keeping a lid on the exact facts and none have made a public announcement as of yet but if rumors are true one thing is certain, gaming as we know it is about to undergo some changes. As a moderate gamer I still don’t have a set opinion on this subject so I guess I’ll have to wait and see.

The documentary about the video game revolution
Posted on 2007 under General Stuff, News | No CommentHave you ever wondered how it all began? Games have transformed society especially in the way millions of people spend their leisure time. This documentary covers a short history of gaming and game development as well as the current issues concerning influences on children and society in general. From my point of view it is a very informative and educational program that shouldn’t be missed. The documentary is quite large, with duration of nearly two hours, and dates back to 2004 but if you’re a game fan it’s definitely worth your while. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am sure you will to…
