The online advertising company AdBrite has raised another $23 million in a third round of funding from investors DAG Ventures, Mitsui Ventures, Sequoia Capital and Artis Management.
The funding is intended to be used to help stimulate growth and expand the current targeting capabilities such as behavioral targeting. Founder Philip Kaplan, states that Adbrite is currently the third largest ad network, behind Google and Advertising.com, with over one billion page views a day across a network of 50,000 publishers.
With some experience using the Adbrite Affiliate program I do surely hope that the funds be utilized in improving their service.

Just a few days ago I wrote a post about how CNET had rated Microsoft’s Vista Operating System, one of the Top Ten terrible Tech Products of all time. Today CNET wants to make it all better by offering free advice to Microsoft on how to improve their much despised product.
The first suggestion is rather interesting and I’m sure it will be the one that receives the most approval from Microsoft. Going open source is the first step to success and has CNET put it “the only real solution to fixing Windows’ slew of issues”. I can see where they want to go with this but for some reason I don’t think it will happen, call it a gut feeling.
Make things simple, sell only one Version of Vista. Simple is good but in Europe that can result in expensive law suits. To be totally fair, I don’t really think Microsoft has much power over this issue. European anti-monopoly laws are a bitch and Microsoft has learnt that the hard way.
Don’t try be the big chiwawa of the internet, stick to software and be happy. I really agree with this point in many ways. Microsoft despises Google and has been on a buying spree to see if they can make a dent, especially in the online Advertising market. They don’t strand a change of beating Google and should stick to what they know best, developing crappy OS.
The last suggestion is an important one but I don’t really know if relevant. We all know that nearly everything is migrating to the internet but developing a Web based OS doesn’t seem like the best solution for the current problems. Even if they do release such a product wouldn’t they still have the original problem at hands? Fix this one first and then start something new.

The guys over a CNET decided to create a list of the Top Ten terrible Tech Products and would you believe it that the Vista Operating System made it to the tenth spot. They really do have some excellent points to back this up.
1 - Any operating system
that provokes a campaign for its predecessor’s reintroduction deserves to be classed as terrible technology.
2 - Any operating system that quietly has a downgrade-to- previous-edition option introduced for PC makers deserves to be classed as terrible technology.
3 - Any operating system that takes six years of development but is instantly hated by hordes of PC professionals and enthusiasts deserves to be classed as terrible technology.
I’m a proud owner of two new laptops both of which come equipped with the Vista operating system. On my HP pavilion dv6500
you will find the Vista home edition whilst on the other tiny Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro Vista Business is the OS of choice. To be truly honest with you I really don’t know the difference since they both look exactly the same. The only evident variation is that the Business edition comes preinstalled with a Microsoft Office
trial. Yes I know, who cares.
The only thing that really bugs me besides the whole crappy, Linux
wannabe security warnings, is the resource hogging, computer slowing, thing that happens every time a few programs are running simultaneously. Make that better and maybe you will have a content customer.

Amazon has released a new revolutionary reading device that enables its users to red more than 90.000 books, blogs, newspapers and magazines conveniently in bed or anywhere else for that matter. Named kindle, the stylish device promises to deliver the best content to anyone under a minute.
kindle is completely mobile and extremely simple to use reading gadget. The device does not require a PC to operate since it will use a wireless delivery system called Amazon Whispernet. Another interesting detail is that there are no annoying service plans, yearly contracts, or monthly wireless bills, you only pay for what you buy.
With a hefty price tag of $399 I don’t know if kindle will be a success but apparently many people out there thought it would be a useful device. On the official site there is a notice stating that due to heavy customer demand, Kindle is temporarily sold out. Could this be a clever Marketing scheme? Who knows, but $399 for a reading device does seem a little pricy.
