A few lessons I’ve Learned about Blogging
Posted on 2007 under Blogging, Blogs, Resources | 1 CommentA few days ago I wrote a post about the 10 lessons I’ve Learned about Blogging. Although it felt quite complete at the time I feel now that I might have left a few important points. To be truly honest I wasn’t the one that noticed this but rather a few people who discuss the subject with me. So without delay, here are the missing points from the 10 lessons I’ve Learned about Blogging.
1- Don’t take a bigger bite than you can chew
While talking to a few friends I noticed that many gave up on all their blogs because they weren’t getting anywhere. Those words suddenly made everything very clear to me. Starting too many blogs is a bad idea for many reasons. The main reason being that updating one blog daily is hard so you can imagine a few.
2- It all takes time
Just like everything in life, creating a good blog does take its time. First you have to get accustomed to the entire blogging everyday routine or at least a few times a week. Then there is the creative process, which for many bloggers is the nail in the coffin. So take it slow and remember that Google takes a few weeks to update.
