cnetlogo.gifThe guys over a CNET decided to create a list of the Top Ten terrible Tech Products and would you believe it that the Vista Operating System made it to the tenth spot. They really do have some excellent points to back this up.

1 - Any operating system that provokes a campaign for its predecessor’s reintroduction deserves to be classed as terrible technology.
2 - Any operating system that quietly has a downgrade-to- previous-edition option introduced for PC makers deserves to be classed as terrible technology.
3 - Any operating system that takes six years of development but is instantly hated by hordes of PC professionals and enthusiasts deserves to be classed as terrible technology.

I’m a proud owner of two new laptops both of which come equipped with the Vista operating system. On my HP pavilion dv6500 you will find the Vista home edition whilst on the other tiny Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro Vista Business is the OS of choice. To be truly honest with you I really don’t know the difference since they both look exactly the same. The only evident variation is that the Business edition comes preinstalled with a Microsoft Office trial. Yes I know, who cares.

The only thing that really bugs me besides the whole crappy, Linux wannabe security warnings, is the resource hogging, computer slowing, thing that happens every time a few programs are running simultaneously. Make that better and maybe you will have a content customer.
