Hello! Have you had any luck with photo sfxart tricks (do a search on google)? My work buddy Ellena made some unbelivable pictures with their video lessons.

If you read some reviews the D3200 doesn’t seem too good whereas the pentax has pretty good reviews

I have read that the 18 mm lens is not really as weather proof as the body itself. Is it true?

depends. If you prefer a more stable construction then you should go for the K5 (or K5II) because it has a magnesium alloy construction and you can add a battery pack and get a better grip. Thou i’m not sure if you can add a Battery-pack on the K30 as well. I know you couldn’t do that on the K-x or K-r. If you can check these cameras yourself in a shop somewhere, you should do that and decide which one you like more, to get a feeling for the handling.

K5 is more expensive and has different features, it is a little bit more "pro". If you’re deciding which one to pick go for K-30 with more lenses. Because the kit lenses are not really anything amazing

what is better k30 or k5
by couscousdelight, on February 2 2013 @ 2:29 am
True, except that the 18-135 doesn’t have a SDM (silent drive motor), but a DC (direct current) motor, a new motorisation system from Pentax.
for the moment, it’s the only lens available with that system.

Im a Nikon Shooter D700 but I have to admit that this Pentax is an impressively specced powerhouse. Would consider it for a walkabout DSLR. Good job Pentax.

True, the kit lenses are usually the noisiest. I bet if you put a sigma HSM lens on there would be no "Pentax noise".

I have one, it’s a wonderful camera.
by Markus Arike, on February 2 2013 @ 8:09 am
She’s talking about the lens AF noise. The kit lens, which is very good optically, doesn’t have an built-in AF motor. Pentax is also offering the 18-135 SDM with the K-30, which has an AF motor and is near silent and very fast to focus.

It sounds like a script is being read and it makes me switch off. Keep it natural: don’t read a script. Get some practice and you’ll be fine.

The ZZZ-ZZZ noise of the lens focusing.

What is the Pentax sound mentioned at 1:24?
