Tekzilla! is creating quite a buzz on the web, especially on sites like Digg and Reddit. I decided to take a look for myself to see what all the commotion was about and to be truly honest didn’t see what was so amazing. Don’t get me wrong, I did like watching the episode and was quite impressed with the content and filming quality, but is that enough? Tekzilla! isn’t a novelty, actually quite far from it. The show only differs slightly from other already well know internet channels.
A few months ago I wrote a post about WebbAlert, a website and daily videocast created by Morgan and RipCam Media. It was news when it aired, it created buzz and it looked great. But was it enough? I watched the first few episodes and to be honest, never returned because the content simply wasn’t there. My Alexa bar shows a drastic drop in ranking over the past weeks.I’m not trying to kill or attack anybody here, just being honest and explaining my views.
Tekzilla! has content and from watching it only once you’ll undoubtedly understand that the people behind the scenes do really understand what they’re talking about . Watch it and tell me what you think.

I hear what your saying and agree.
One thing that will help Tekzilla is getting out of the studios the way they did on the first episode for the video segment. A lot of these shows - Tekzilla, WebbAlert, etc… - are located in and around northern California, the heart of technology and computer/web developement, use those connection.
